Yemen’s Houthis stated on Friday (Oct. 19, 2024) that they attacked a ship, which they recognized as Megalopolis, within the Arabian Sea with drones, with out specifying a date.
Megalopolis, a Malta-flagged container ship, is at present en path to the port of Salalah in Oman, based on LSEG information.
Yahya Saree, a army spokesman for the Houthi militants, stated in a televised assertion that the ship was attacked for violating the group’s ban on getting into ports in “occupied Palestine.”
Maritime businesses haven’t reported any incidents associated to the aforementioned vessel.
