America opened an embassy within the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu on July 18, the newest American transfer in a long-running competitors with China for affect within the Asia-Pacific area.
“The opening of the embassy provides to our efforts to offer a larger diplomatic presence all through the area and to additional strengthen ties with our Pacific neighbors,” the U.S. State Division mentioned in an announcement.
