Amid the continuing battle in Gaza, the Palestinian heritage website of St. Hilarion Monastery/Inform Umm Amer was granted the UNESCO label on July 26 and concurrently included on the Checklist of World Heritage in Hazard.
The announcement was made through the forty sixth session of the World Heritage Committee, which is being held in New Delhi.
