Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh has been killed in Tehran, Iran, the Palestinian militant group Hamas mentioned in an announcement on July 31. In an announcement, the Islamist faction mourned the loss of life of Haniyeh, who it mentioned was killed in “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran.”
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard mentioned in an announcement that the pinnacle of Hamas and one in all his bodyguards have been killed in Tehran, Iranian state media reported.
On April 10, three of Haniyeh’s sons have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, the Palestinian Islamist group and Haniyeh’s household mentioned.
Haniyeh’s three sons, Hazem, Amir and Mohammad, have been killed after the automobile they have been travelling in was bombed in Gaza’s al-Shati camp, Hamas mentioned. Two of Haniyeh’s grandsons have been additionally killed within the assault and a 3rd was wounded, in response to Hamas media.
Appointed to the militant group’s prime submit in 2017, Haniyeh moved between Turkey and the Qatari capital Doha, avoiding journey restrictions imposed by Israel on blockaded Gaza and permitting him to behave as a negotiator in current ceasefire talks or talk with Hamas’s most important ally Iran.
