Former US President Donald Trump received the swing state of Georgia on Wednesday (November 6, 2024), returning its 16 electoral votes to the Republican column.
Joe Biden narrowly received Georgia in 2020, however Republicans have received each different presidential vote from Georgia since 1996. Trump tried to overturn his 2020 loss in Georgia, sparking a political and authorized combat that led to his impeachment within the state.
