“Police in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district discovered the decomposed physique of a Bangladesh Awami League chief on August 26,” officers confirmed on Wednesday (August 28, 2024) night.

There was no latest report of any infiltration or unlawful entry of Bangladeshi nationals into the realm of accountability of BSF Meghalaya Frontier alongside the India-Bangladesh border. The story being circulated is totally fabricated and BSF has no involvement within the unlucky demise of Panna,” stated an announcement issued by BSF spokesperson Trideep Sangma on August 26.
