The Bangladesh authorities on Tuesday formally registered its protest over West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s latest assertion on providing “shelter to helpless folks” of violence-hit Bangladesh.
The neighbouring nation has despatched an official word to New Delhi on the matter.
“With due respect to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, with whom now we have a really shut relationship, we wish to make it clear that her feedback might create a variety of confusion. Due to this fact, now we have despatched a word to the Authorities of India,” stated Hasan Mahmud, Minister of Exterior Affairs of Bangladesh.
On July 21, within the wake of escalating violence and protests in Bangladesh, Mamata Banerjee stated the state would hold its doorways open for “folks in misery” from the neighboring nation and provide them shelter.
