1000’s of Canadian Hindus marched in solidarity outdoors the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton a day after it was attacked by pro-Khalistani. Monday evening’s march was organized by the Coalition of Hindus in North America (CoHNA).
“Greater than a thousand Canadian Hindus have gathered in Brampton to protest more and more brazen assaults on Hindu temples. Yesterday, throughout the holy weekend of Diwali, Canadian Hindu temples, from coast to coast, had been attacked. Le We ask Canada to cease this Hinduphobia now,” the Hindu advocacy group tweeted.
The individuals carried the flags of Canada and India, in addition to people who mentioned ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Individuals additionally shouted slogans towards Khalistan.
Whereas one attendee mentioned Hindus in Canada have been consistently discriminated towards for about 20 years, one other urged Canada to deal with Hindus effectively.
“Hindu Canadians are very loyal to Canada. What is going on to Hindu Canadians is just not proper. It’s time for all politicians to know that what is going on to Hindu Canadians is flawed. We wish Canada to deal with good to the Hindus. We wish India and Canada to be strengthened. We’re towards those that do that,” a participant advised information company ANI.
One other attendee mentioned the gathering in Brampton on Monday evening is “to protest what occurred to us.”
“This has been occurring to us for about 20 years. Now we have been consistently discriminated towards. Now we have gathered right here to point out how we had been discriminated towards by the police yesterday. Regardless of that, all Hindus have gathered and protested right here peacefully.”
